Instagram - BriarsTravelBeatThis may be my favourite pic of Bathurst Harbour, a harbour within a harbour at Port Davey in Southwest National Park, Tasmania. These are the Celery Top Islands highlighted by morning warmth against the backdrop of Mount Rugby (I think). Views like this are only possible from the water. Thanks to boutique expedition cruise @tasmanian_boat_charters expert guide @petermarmion and photographer @andrewbrucewilson for taking us out in the tinny to get these #mistymorning shots. #tasmaniaKnow what this plant is? I certainly didn’t recognise it. It’s a baby Huon Pine grabbing a foothold amongst the quartzite cliffs of remote Davey Gorge in @tasmania Southwest National Park. You could spend several days walking in here, or fly in as I did with @paraviontas as part of a boutique cruise with @tasmanian_boat_charters and get escorted to hidden spots like this with expert guides. Tasmania #nzhtravelIt’s taken me a while to get to Port Davey in #tasmainia but it’s been worth the wait! Cocooned inside Southwest National Park at the bottom of Tassie this huge waterway surrounded by wilderness would take weeks to explore, but I saw an amazing amount in four days aboard @tasmanian_boat_charters vessel Odalisque. With weather changing hourly, we captured some moody shots, thanks to photographer @andrewbrucewilson who helped us capture the light. #portdavey #expeditioncruise @tasmaniaparks @nzhtravelThere’s something visually reassuring about lighthouses. While a warning of danger from the sea, they are like a white sentinel of safety when viewed from onshore. This is Norah Head Lighthouse on the NSW Central Coast. You can stay in the lighthouse keepers’ cottages here, and what a view! #lighthouse #lovensw #centralcoastnsw @norahheadlighthouse
