I’ve fallen in love with boabs up here in the Kimberley. From slender to stout, bulimic to bulbous, gaunt to gothic, each has a multifaceted personality. Sadly, I couldn’t snap the many colossal ones that flashed by my coach window on trip from Darwin to Broome, but here are two.Broome certainly knows how to do #sunset and the clouds added depth and texture to this one. While the Staircase to the Moon (full moon reflected in the water) only happens on a full moon, sunset happens every night!Colours of the Kimberley. Heading into Cyclone Creek on a boat as part of a full day tour to Horizontal Falls with @horizontalfalls which includes flying in on a float plane. The huge tidal range paints the iron oxide-tinted cliffs with horizontal stripes. #kimberley #thisiswa #colours #coloursofaustraliaOutback #sunsets are something else! This one, atop windy Sunset Hill in Tibooburra, Outback NSW, finished in a horizontal blaze of bright orange, like a strip of tangerine peel on the horizon. We stayed and watched the night sky reveal layer upon layer of stars and followed the path of the Emu in the Milky Way as it rose up and across the sky.- My Tweets
